Staff

Virginia Kearney

Virginia Kearney has been teaching preschool for over 15 years. Her educational background is in the arts, with a BA in Humanities from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.

Virginia managed a children's clothing manufacturing business for seven years before having her family. She lives in Edina with her husband Bob and their three children, who are 19, 21 and 23. An enthusiastic gardener, she recently co-founded Flourish Gardens, a landscape design business that occupies much of her time during the summer.

 

Sandy MacPherson

Sandy MacPherson has been teaching preschool for the past 13 years. She has a BA in elementary education from the University of Minnesota, Duluth.

Before having her family, Sandy taught first grade for four years and then directed the Lake Harriet Playroom part-time for ten years while home with her children. She lives in Edina with her husband Dave and their three children, who are 16, 20, and 23.

 

Sue Reid

Sue Reid has been teaching preschool for the past five years. She has a BA in Music Therapy from the University of Kansas, Lawrence.

Sue was a music therapist at LW Fraser School in Richfield for seven years before having children. She lives in St. Louis Park with her husband Jim and their three children, who are 12, 16, and 18.

 

Sylvia Timian

Sylvia Timian has been teaching preschool for the past 11 years. She has an MA in Library Science from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.

Sylvia worked as a librarian and editor for seven years before having her children and then did freelance editing for 15 years while home with her children. She and her husband Jerry live in St. Louis Park where they raised their two now adult children.
